The vocalist of the band TOUCHED, Yoon Min, has made history on MBC’s ‘King of Mask Singer’. Appearing under the name ‘HeeRoAeRakDo Rockida’ from January to June, Yoon Min achieved a remarkable 9 consecutive wins, becoming the first woman to do so. This feat was accomplished for the first time in 8 years since ‘Our Neighborhood Music General’.
In the broadcast on the 2nd, Yoon Min handed over the title of the king to ‘Hercules’ after a close match, but delivered a moving performance of Lee SeungChul’s ‘Amateur’ during her final defense. Her stage, combining delicate emotions with clear high notes, offered special comfort to all those pursuing their dreams.
After unmasking and revealing her identity, Yoon Min showed a fresh visual charm, contrasting with her usual intense stage image. As her identity, hidden behind the mask for about five months, was revealed, the panelists cheered and gave her a big round of applause.
Yoon Min expressed her feelings, saying, “When I first appeared on ‘King of Mask Singer’, I wanted to make TOUCHED known to many people, and it’s an honor to leave a historical mark as a 9-time winner.” She added, “I want more people to know that TOUCHED is a cool and talented team, and I ask for your continued interest. The rock spirit will continue, so please look forward to it.”
TOUCHED has established itself as a representative of the K-band scene after winning Mnet’s band survival ‘Great Seoul Invasion’. The tickets for their solo concert ‘Fireworks’, held on June 15th and 16th at the MyungHwa Live Hall, sold out instantly on the opening day, proving their popularity.
TOUCHED is set to perform at various events: ‘VISION BANGKOK’ hosted by MPMG MUSIC on June 8th, ‘TOUCHED Live in Gwangju’ on June 22nd, ‘K-INDIE ON’ in Germany on June 27th-28th, ‘2024 ROUND Festival’ on July 6th-7th, ‘Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival 2024’ on August 4th, and ‘2024 GS25 Music & Beer Festival’ on August 10th.
