Singer and actor Yook SungJae attended the production presentation of the Netflix original variety show ‘Zombiebus: New Blood’, hinting at a transformation in the new season. The event, held at the CGV I’Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul, was attended by the program directors Park JinKyung and Moon SangDon, as well as broadcaster Noh HongChul, actor Lee SiYoung, singer DinDin, and broadcaster Patricia, who participated in the previous season. Newly joined for season 2 were Yook SungJae, Taeyeon, producer Code Kunst, and chef and YouTuber Andre Rush.
Yook SungJae explained his background for joining season 2, saying, “I was a fan of the program from season 1. After receiving the offer, I contemplated a lot. I was quite worried because I tend to scare easily, but I developed a bond with the cast.” He added, “I was ‘SamsungJae’ at first, but I plan to show a ‘GooSungJae’ who has grown by the end,” asking for anticipation.
Particularly, Yook SungJae mentioned his peers Kwon EunBi and Dex, saying, “In the first episode, I ran away leaving everyone behind, leading DinDin to say I reminded him of ‘Noh HongChul from season 1’,” causing laughter. He explained his choice of a growth character by overcoming fear, saying, “I never imagined sacrificing myself for someone, but my body just moved on its own in the real situation,” adding that it felt like he became a cool person without realizing it.
‘Zombiebus: New Blood’ is a sequel to ‘Zombieverse’, which aired in August, following the journey of protagonists who choose to escape a zombie-virus-stricken Seoul but must return due to the existence of a new blood type. The program is set to release all seven episodes on Netflix on the 19th.
