On the morning of the 13th, at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Netflix original series ‘Mr. Plankton’ lead actor Woo DoHwan held an interview. This work is a romantic comedy about a man named Haejo (played by Woo DoHwan) who was mistakenly born and embarks on his final journey in life with the unluckiest woman in the world, Jaemi (played by Lee YouMi). The series, co-worked by writer Jo Yong of the drama ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ and director Hong JongChan of ‘Juvenile Justice’, is garnering anticipation.

Woo DoHwan revealed that he did not exercise for the filming of ‘Mr. Plankton’. He explained that since the character Haejo is not a healthy figure, he prepared in a way to reduce his muscles. He stated, “I naturally lose weight if I stop exercising because I do not gain weight easily,” and mentioned that his weight, which was 78kg during the filming of ‘Bloodhounds’, decreased to 71kg during ‘Plankton’ filming.
He said, “Experiencing changes daily through exercise is the life of an actor,” and mentioned that he let go of his body while living as Haejo. He stated that exercise is a joy in his life and he spends his days working out when there is no filming.
Woo DoHwan recalled that he began exercising early in his acting career. He said, “I felt a lack during my nameless days and started to exercise,” adding, “I started my days by working out early every morning since I was 19 or 20 years old.”
