While Big Hit Entertainment doesn’t produce female girl groups, they do however work with talented female producers and staff members.
One of them, know as Adora, has always been a person of interest amongst ARMY and K-Pop music listeners. In fact, she is credited in a handful of BTS’s early releases, notably during the ‘Save Me’ era.
She may not have her own public profile that is visible to everyone, but it can be assumed that she shares the crucial role of main producer along with the other Big Hit producers Pdogg, Supreme Boi. The reason for this is because she is credited in several popular songs including Spring Day, Best of Me, Euphoria, Epiphany, and more.
The interesting thing about Adora is that her production style has a wide spectrum of styles and genre. She seems to be able to produce both fast and slow tempo music, whereas most of the other producers in Big Hit Entertainment usually stick to what works best for them.
Adora’s production style is also notably heavily vocal-based, meaning she stacks layers of harmonies to ensure a rich and full warm sound that fills up the song. While a lot of K-Pop songs seem to take on the opposite approach with having several stacked and layered instruments play the role of filling up the sounds and letting the vocals simply just be a voice, Adora’s vocal-based work does the opposite, having just a few basic and crucial instruments playing while layers of her vocals serve as the main “instrument” that plays the chords.
You can hear how she does this below.
But because there isn’t much information about Adora out at the moment, it seems that Adora herself and Big Hit Entertainment want to let the curiosity of fans and music listeners linger. After all, one of the greatest US pop music producers such Max Martin, who produced music for basically every pop star out there imaginable including the Backstreet Boys, N’SYNC, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and more, has remained behind the scenes until recent times.
While the idol scene in K-Pop is always probably the main focus, young talents like Adora still has her own angle to gain recognition and popularity, especially with fans’ attention and interests also diverting towards songwriters and producers in the industry,
In the mean time, we can only just enjoy her talent and voice through her hidden voices that support BTS’s music.
