One of the hottest topics among Asian drama fans right now is the ongoing global voting for the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2024. In the last few days of voting, actors like Dian Sastrowardoyo, Kim Chiu, and Syafiq Kyle have consistently held their top spots. Kim SooHyun and Kim JiWon of “Queen Of Tears” were initially on top but lost their #1 ranks to Byeon WooSeok and Kim HyeYoon of “Lovely Runner” fame. Similarly, Gun Atthaphan had conquered the #1 spot initially but it was later taken by Win Metawin. Chantalle Ng lost her top spot to Jessica Hsuan temporarily before ending up in a tie with her. However, the vote gap between the 1st and 2nd place for most sub-categories is very small. So, the tables may be turned at any time, and you can take that into your hands by voting for your favorite star.
Considering the high volume in which fans are voting to defend their favorite actors’ spots, we decided to analyse the current search volume of and global interest in the top nominees for the “Oustanding Asian Star” category to reflect their real-time popularity. The average search volume over the past seven days also favors Byeon WooSeok as #1, followed by Cha EunWoo and Kim SooHyun.

Kim HyeYoon has the second-highest average and second-highest spikes, and YoonA has the third-highest average and spikes.

Chantalle Ng and Ferlyn G have much lower search volumes compared to Jessica Hsuan. They did have very small spikes, but nothing drastic enough to beat Jessica Hsuan.
