TXT Enchants MOAs With Their Sold-Out Concert “ACT : SWEET MIRAGE In Singapore”

Last Saturday (April 1), TXT successfully held their first sold-out concert in Singapore as part of their world tour “ACT : SWEET MIRAGE”. The five members, SooBin, YeonJun, BeomGyu, TaeHyun, and Huening Kai, promised MOA (their beloved fandom) a magical and mind-blowing show, and they certainly delivered.

Throughout the concert, the members showcased original and new performances, special solo and unit segments, and unique props and special effects, all centered around the themes of magic, illusion, and temptation. The show was designed to have a strong storytelling element, much like a theatre production.

Starting the show off with “Blue Hour”, TXT displayed their youthful and energetic charms through synchronised dance moves in ‘Can’t We Just Leave The Monster Alive?’ and a mash-up of ‘Drama’ and ‘No Rules’. With the upbeat pop track, ‘Cat & Dog’, the bandmates turned the stage into their playground, followed by one of their representative tracks, ‘9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)’.

The stage was adorned with background visuals depicting motifs of flames and ruin during performances of ‘We Lost The Summer’ and ‘Can’t You See Me?’. The energy of the audience reached its peak when the entire stadium joined in singing and dancing to the group’s popular tracks, ‘0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)’ and ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’.

The boy group further showcased their musical talents by their performance of ‘Dear Sputnik’, a pop-rock song that was co-produced by Huening Kai and co-written by TaeHyun. Following this, they impressed the audience with their funky dance moves while performing ‘Magic’, which was accompanied by LED lights featuring space-themed graphics that perfectly captured the song’s message of how each moment spent with someone special can feel like magic.

During the intro of ‘Opening Sequence’, the members of the group presented an artistic dance performance in two separate units: TaeHyun and Huening Kai, followed by SooBin and BeomGyu. YeonJun then had a solo segment before they performed ‘Anti-Romantic’ and ‘Eternally’, which displayed their impressive vocal abilities. The group’s performance alternated between two contrasting moods, with ‘Eternally’ previewing the section that followed.

The tone of the performance shifts dramatically with the next set of songs, as ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’, ‘Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock)’, and ‘Devil by the Window’ have a raw and edgy punk-rock vibe. In these tracks, the members display a sultry and rebellious side, showcasing their versatility and ability to embody a tougher persona.

The show maintained a contrasting vibe with colourful, psychedelic production elements to accompany the bright, playful, and upbeat performances of ‘Angel or Devil’, ‘Ice Cream’, ‘Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray)’, and ‘Sugar Rush Ride’. The encore performance was ‘Farewell, Neverland’, where gentle guitar strums rang through the hall as a dream-like, star-filled scene unfolded in the background.

One of the highlights of the night was the unreleased song, ‘Blue Spring’. The mellow and heartfelt track was written by the members as a show of love and appreciation for their fans, and they delivered each word with sincerity through an emotional performance. The last performance of the night was ‘Our Summer’, a melodic synth-heavy track that speaks of a special someone who makes every day feel like summer.

As the concert drew to a close, the members thanked the audience for their energy and cheers throughout the night, and promised to return to Singapore as soon as they can. The group’s leader, SooBin, represented the team and said: “Everything we do will always be for you, MOA”.

TXT’s “ACT : SWEET MIRAGE” world tour runs from March to May of 2023, consisting of 23 shows through 13 cities.
