Tattoos are a great way to express oneself and show agency over one's body but it is also an acquired taste. While it does add to the visual aesthetic of an individual, that is not simply the only reason why someone might choose to get a tattoo. Tattoos have a rich history and are often imbued with great meaning. At the same time, not everyone likes tattoos.
