Kim Hyungseo shared his unique experiences and thoughts gained from filming The Fiery Priest 2.
On November 8th at 2 PM, a grand production presentation for SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama, The Fiery Priest 2, was held at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Park BoRam, lead actors Kim Namgil, Lee Hanee, Kim SungKyun, Sung Jun, Seo Hyunwoo, and Kim Hyungseo (BIBI), who graced the occasion with their presence.
When asked about joining The Fiery Priest 2, Kim Hyungseo expressed, “Initially, I started with great expectations and ambition due to the success of Season 1, but working with senior actors allowed me to gain new experiences. Sharing laughter on set was personally very beneficial.” He is set to captivate viewers with his new charm, playing the role of Gu Jayeong, a detective from the unnamed team of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency’s narcotics investigation unit.
In response to a question about challenges during filming, he noted, “Finding the comedic code was more challenging than the action,” adding, “Once I found the code, I naturally joined the comedic stunt show. We laughed throughout the filming and had a great time.” His words heightened anticipation for the drama.
Meanwhile, following the success of Season 1 aired in 2019, The Fiery Priest 2 returns after five years with new stories and characters. It tells the story of Kim HaeIl (played by Kim Namgil), a hot-blooded priest with anger management issues who serves as a priest by day and takes on the role of ‘Bellato’ by night, heading to Busan to engage in a breathtaking cooperative investigation with the country’s top drug cartel. The first episode airs at 10 PM that day, and the upcoming developments are highly anticipated.
