SUPERKIND Returns With Sci-Fi Adventure Themed EP “Profiles of the Future (Λ) : 70%”

K-Pop group SUPERKIND is making a triumphant comeback with their latest EP, “Profiles of the Future (Λ) : 70%.” This marks their first full reunion as a seven-member ensemble, featuring both human and AI members, SAEJIN and SEUNG. The album seamlessly blends elements of 2D and 3D, staying true to their slogan, “2Dx3D, Dimensions Assemble!”

The album’s narrative takes fans on a thrilling Sci-Fi cyberchase, where the AI members, NUKE, are pursuing the human members, PRID, as wanted criminals.

Before that, SaeJin and Seung each had their own narrative-oriented activities, but this time, we will all be working together as a seven-member superkind. In that sense, I think this ‘Beam me up’ is a step closer to announcing SUPERKIND. I know that the line “Beam me up” is a famous line from “Star Trek.” As such, the ‘Beam me up’ music video pays homage to content such as “Men in Black” and “Cowboy Bebop”, so I hope you can find those parts and enjoy the sci-fi elements.
SUPERKIND’s Daemon

The album boasts four new tracks. The title track, ‘Beam me up (2Dx3D)’, masterfully blends acoustic and digital elements, merging two other songs on the album, ‘Beam me up (3D)’ and ‘Speed (2D)’. ‘Speed (2D)’ draws inspiration from the classic anime “Cowboy Bebop,” capturing the essence of an anime opening and representing the 2D aspect of the album. The combined track includes Japanese lyrics to enhance the concept.

On the other hand, ‘Beam me up (3D)’ embodies the 3D aspect of the album, reinterpreting the movie “Men in Black.” It uses kick and bass rhythms to create a digital sound. The final track, ‘Mugshot,” skillfully blends Latin drill music and K-Pop to narrate the unfolding chase from PRID’s perspective. It is the result of an interactive Social Music Mining Game played by SUPERKIND members and their fans, known as Players, emerging as the standout selection from various choices.
