Stray Kids Rises To No. 1 On Billboard 200 With “ROCK-STAR” Album

Stray Kids marked their triumphant return by securing the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest album ‘ROCK-STAR,’ a remarkable feat that solidifies their position as the only K-Pop act with multiple #1 albums this year. Notably, this achievement also makes them the first K-Pop act to debut their first four charting albums at #1 on the Billboard 200.

Their chart-topping success follows a stellar night at the “2023 Billboard Music Awards”, where Stray Kids claimed the coveted Top K-Pop Album award for their acclaimed release,”5-STAR”. The group mesmerized audiences with dynamic performances of their chart-topping tracks ‘S-Class’ and ‘LALALALA’.

This milestone adds to Stray Kids’ exceptional year. Earlier in 2023, “5-STAR” witnessed unprecedented success, surpassing 5 million copies within a week, solidifying its status as the best-selling K-Pop album in the United States this year. The group’s sold-out “Stray Kids 2nd World Tour – MANIAC” in April packed the colossal BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, affirming their global appeal.

Since their debut in 2017, Stray Kids have amassed a staggering 6 billion global Spotify streams. In 2021 alone, they ranked among the top three most streamed K-Pop groups on Spotify. Their impact extends to record sales, with JYP Entertainment hailing them as their first triple million-selling artist. “NOEASY” and “MAXIDENT” together moved over 4 million units, while “NOEASY” dominated iTunes charts in numerous territories and their track ‘Thunderous’ ruled the iTunes Overall Top Songs Chart in 52 territories.

In 2022, Stray Kids continued their chart-topping streak as “ODDINARY” and “MAXIDENT” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and Top Album Sales Chart.
