MinHo, a member of SHINee, has taken his first step as a solo artist, creating a closer communication platform with his fans. Recently appearing on KBS Cool FM’s “Park MyungSoo’s Radio Show,” MinHo shared the news of the release of his solo regular album “Chase” and discussed the significance of his solo debut. Through this radio appearance, MinHo actively engaged with fans by sharing various stories, including his reasons for renewing his contract and plans for solo album activities.
During the broadcast, Park MyungSoo mentioned a statement by SUPER JUNIOR ShinDong, who claimed that SUPER JUNIOR built the 12th floor of the SM Entertainment building. In response, MinHo jokingly replied with a smile, “I think SHINee built about the 3rd or 4th floor.” MinHo emphasized his long-standing relationship with SM Entertainment, saying, “The company has been with me since my debut, and many people there know me better than I know myself. I decided to renew my contract based on trust and confidence,” expressing his affection for the company.
MinHo’s first solo regular album “Chase,” released this time, includes a total of 10 tracks, including the title track “Chase.” The title track, a pop genre song, stands out with its heavy bass and lyrical piano line. MinHo expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, “I am thankful that many fans love it.” He promised to continue various musical attempts, expressing his gratitude for the support of his fans.
During the broadcast, Park MyungSoo also asked MinHo about his past meeting with Melania Trump, the wife of former U.S. President Donald Trump. MinHo recalled the special experience, saying, “I met Mrs. Melania at an event promoting youth education.” Additionally, MinHo humorously addressed the fact that the hit song “Ring Ding Dong” became famous as a banned song for exams, saying, “I am thankful and sorry,” which brought laughter.
MinHo also shared his thoughts on his upcoming first solo concert. Ahead of his solo concert, which will be held at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium on November 30 and December 1, he candidly revealed, “Unlike performing on stage with the members, I have to take full responsibility for the solo concert, so I am nervous.”
