TEMPEST is taking their rising star status seriously. After captivating global fans and proving their mettle as multifaceted artists, the TEMPEST members are hungry for more. The group will be participating in the highly anticipated survival show “Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace” next but even before that, they are already showing their formidable presence in the K-Pop industry.
In case you missed it, TEMPEST is officially the winner of the “Best Group” award at the K-STAR CHART 2nd Season Vote On IDOLCHAMP, thanks to overwhelming love and support from fans all over the world. They also released their debut Japanese mini-album “BANG!” recently, which proved to be another success! With their versatile talent and their fans by their side, there is nothing TEMPEST cannot achieve and we’re unbelievably excited for their bright future.
In light of all the amazing things happening for TEMPEST, we had the incredible opportunity of interviewing the young stars where we spoke to them about their latest achievements, their hopes for “Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace”, and much more. So, without further ado, let’s get into our interview!

Welcome to Kpopmap, TEMPEST! Congratulations on winning the “Best Group” award at the K-STAR CHART 2nd Season Vote On IDOLCHAMP! If you had to make three promises to iE in return for all the love you have received, what would they be?
Continuing to be together, becoming a TEMPEST that iE can be proud of, and making things even happier!

These are things I think about every day. I can promise the fans that I will keep this promise and continue to do well in the future!

You are set to participate in “Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace” next. How did you feel when you first heard that you’ll be participating? How are you preparing for it and what can fans look forward to seeing from you on the show?
I think it’s a great opportunity. I believe we can showcase more of TEMPEST’s charm and fully display the abilities and performances we’ve wanted to show on stage. I hope the fans will look forward to our performances. It would be wonderful if everyone enjoys this period together.

At first, I was very nervous, but as I prepared, I found it enjoyable and my excitement grew. I’m working hard to show many great sides of TEMPEST. Please love us a lot!

I felt that it’s a great opportunity, thinking, “Finally, we can show TEMPEST’s charm to more people.” Although I’m nervous, I want to capture a different, more mature and grown-up side of TEMPEST on stage.

First, I was very nervous and excited. I want to make a strong impression of the team “TEMPEST” on many people. I want to show that TEMPEST is a team with a truly diverse charm and colors. That’s why we are practicing together every day, gritting our teeth, and all the members are learning and growing a lot in the process of preparing. Please keep an eye on TEMPEST.

When I first heard the news, I felt half nervous and half excited. I really want to show our fans a beautiful TEMPEST delivering a fantastic performance. Even though it’s a bit physically challenging, I’m overcoming it by thinking of our fans!

If you could go on a vacation to anywhere in the world with iE, where would you go and what are some activities you would want to do?
I want to go anywhere iE is! I’d love to do a world tour, have concerts, and try famous foods in each country!

I think it would be great to go to Vietnam. I especially want to bring the members to my home. Since everyone is usually so busy, I’d like us to have some healing time in my hometown and enjoy the clear scenery together. I’m sure our iE fans would really like such precious moments with TEMPEST too! (laughs)

Gocheok Dome. I want to fill the big stage with iE and put on a fantastic performance. Building happy memories with iE is also a wonderful journey for me.

I want to go to Paris, the city of love, because I’ll be with my beloved iE. I’d like to go there and have meals together, chat, and go for walks!

I hope we can go to any place with beautiful scenery and make many memories. I’m happy to do anything with iE.

I’d like to shoot a variety show! I’ve always thought our iE has amazing variety skills, so I believe it would be really fun to film a show together!

Actually, everything seems like it would be fun, but if I had to choose just one, I’d go with a ‘variety show.’ Having fun, laughing, and being happy together is the best. I want to have fun together~!

I want to make a music video. I’d like to leave behind a musical and visual record with my beloved iE that will last a lifetime.

I think it would be fun to shoot a variety show with iE. I believe our iE has excellent variety skills. I’d really like to film an action reality show, like “Running Man”, together.

If you could write a book about your journey as TEMPEST with iE, what would the title be and why?
It would be “From A Small Breeze to a Tempest”. TEMPEST always thinks we grow together with iE. We started as a small breeze, but we firmly believe that we will become a great storm as time passes!

The title is “We Only Live Once”, and the theme is “Moments of Youth”. Our lives are only lived once, and I believe we should live with happy eyes and a believing heart, just like in our youth. I want to say, let’s try doing what we want, believe in it without regrets, and enjoy it.

“iE and HyeongSeop-ie”. I want to capture precious stories that we can share only with each other, without any interference from others.

The title is “Comma”. I hope that iE can lean on TEMPEST and find rest. The “comma” also signifies a new beginning and is used to list multiple words. It can carry many meanings, and since TEMPEST wants to be that kind of presence for iE, I chose this title.

The title will be “Run”. It reflects TEMPEST’s continuous growth and our willingness to run towards anywhere.
