"River Where The Moon Rises" (2021 Drama): Cast & Summary

"River Where The Moon Rises" is a historical romance drama.

Popular actress Kim SoHyun is the lead actress. She previously acted in dramas such as "Who Are You: School 2015" and "Love Alarm". The actress is experienced with historical dramas ("Moon Embracing the Sun", "The Emperor: Owner of the Mask" and "The Tale of Nokdu").

Actor Ji Soo was the lead actor of the drama until episode 6. He was accused of school violence and he has admitted and apologized through his Instagram on March 4. He stepped down from the drama and Na InWoo replaced him from episode 7.

Kang HaNeul is taking on a special supporting character (appearance). He also already acted with Ji Soo in "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and starred in "Misaeng" and "When The Camellia Blooms". Lee JiHoon ("Legend of the Blue Sea", "The Hymn of Death", "Rookie Historian Goo HaeRyung") and Choi YuHwa ("Life", "My Dangerous Wife") are also lead actors.

The drama will be recreating the famous Goguryeo traditional story of PyeongGang and OnDal.

Summary

It tells the pure love story of Princess PyeongGang whose life was all about Goguryeo and of General Ondal who made history with his love. They did not give in to fate.
