Starting in February 2024, attendees of performances by the HYBE music group TWS will experience a major change in venue entry. This change involves ‘Face Pass,’ a new facial recognition technology designed to streamline the identification process. The ‘Face Pass’ will debut at the ‘2025 TWS 1ST Fan Meeting: Psy:Club,’ scheduled for February 14-16, 2024, at the iconic Olympic Park in Seoul.
With ‘Face Pass,’ fans can access the venue quickly, eliminating the hassle of traditional ID or ticket checks. This innovation enhances the overall concert experience, allowing attendees to focus on enjoying the performance. HYBE has partnered with Toss and Interpark Triple to implement this technology, following a memorandum of understanding signed in August. This partnership demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation in the entertainment industry.
Attendees can choose to use ‘Face Pass’ or stick with traditional methods. Fans already registered with Toss’s facial entry service can purchase tickets without additional registration. New users can register their facial data via the Interpark Ticket ‘Face Pass’ system before the event. This approach ensures inclusivity for all fans.
For those who prefer traditional methods, HYBE will provide options for ID and ticket verification at designated booths. This guarantees that everyone can enjoy the event in their preferred manner.
Tickets for the TWS fan meeting will be available through Interpark Ticket. Pre-sales start for fan club members on January 10, 2024, while general sales open on January 13, 2024. This progressive step is just the beginning. HYBE’s COO, Kim Tae-ho, has expressed ambitions to expand the ‘Face Pass’ service globally, enhancing concert experiences for fans worldwide.
For more details on the event and the ‘Face Pass’ technology, fans can visit the TWS Weverse community and the Interpark Ticket website. As the countdown begins for the TWS fan meeting, the integration of facial recognition technology marks an exciting new chapter in the concert-going experience. This technology not only streamlines entry but also enhances security and user privacy, making it a significant advancement in the ticketing process.
