At the press screening of the film “Saehl” held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, actor Park ShinYang confessed to experiencing a supernatural phenomenon, giving everyone in attendance goosebumps. His story about a metal bed moving on its own during filming in a morgue resonated deeply with those present.
During the screening, Park ShinYang stated, “I was filming a scene where a father, unable to accept his daughter’s death, insists on staying with her in the mortuary.” At the moment the custodian closed the door, the metal bed suddenly moved, catching Park off guard. Nevertheless, he maintained his focus on the performance and continued the scene. Those present were startled by the incident, and Park later recalled the experience as highly memorable.
“Saehl” is an occult horror movie that explores events over three days during a daughter’s funeral, with Park ShinYang playing the role of SeungDo, a father trying to bring his dead daughter back to life. Even after filming, Park sought to find out who moved the metal bed, but no one admitted to doing so. He humorously remarked, “I just want to say, ‘Thank you, demon,'” eliciting laughter.
Director Hyun MoonSeob was also asked about the incident but left the mystery unresolved by stating, “I didn’t push it.” This behind-the-scenes story enhances the chilling atmosphere of the film. “Saehl” is set to be released on the 14th, and it is eagerly anticipated to offer audiences a shocking and thrilling experience.
