The girl group NewJeans has drawn public attention after their notice to ADOR was revealed. On the 14th, Channel A obtained and disclosed the content of the notice sent by NewJeans to ADOR, in which NewJeans demanded rectification of six violations by the agency.
NewJeans strongly requested ADOR to take all necessary actions as their management company in response to HYBE’s decision, which they interpreted as “abandoning NewJeans and starting anew.” They also pointed out ADOR’s inaction toward another label’s manager who instructed to ignore member Hanni. Previously, Hanni had tearfully stated during a national audit that, “If we respect each other as humans, there would be no workplace bullying or ostracism.”
Furthermore, NewJeans urged ADOR to address the demeaning remarks made by HYBE PR about NewJeans’ achievements and demanded resolution of the illegal release of trainee photos and videos. They also called for the resolution of disputes with director Shin WooSeok and the disappearance of existing work materials.
NewJeans emphasized, “If all violations are not rectified within 14 days of receiving this letter, we will have no choice but to consider terminating our contract.” In response, ADOR stated, “We have not yet received the notice.”
Meanwhile, tensions exist between NewJeans and former representative Min HeeJin, known as the “NewJeans Mom,” due to conflicts with HYBE. NewJeans is directly requesting Min HeeJin’s return and expressing support for her.
