On the night of the 13th, NewJeans member Hanni communicated with fans through the platform Phoning, sending a supportive message to fans preparing for exams. She encouraged them by saying, “Think of this as an important stage in your life, and don’t worry about us,” comforting their hearts. Hanni added, “We will be fine, so don’t worry and take your exams confidently.”
Daniel also reassured fans, saying, “You might have been surprised by the articles, but we are okay.” The controversy started when NewJeans members, using their real names, demanded corrections to exclusive contract violations from HYBE and ADOR. They took issue with HYBE’s internal document contents and strongly opposed the decision to “abandon NewJeans and start anew.”
