The syndrome girl group ‘NewJeans’ will open pop-up stores simultaneously in Korea and Japan to commemorate the release of their Japan debut single, ‘Supernatural.’
On the 20th, their agency ADOR announced that NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural POP-UP’ will be held from the 26th at Line Friends Square in Myeongdong and Shibuya, respectively. This pop-up store, in collaboration with NewJeans’ IP official business partner IPX (formerly Line Friends), will showcase products co-created with cultural and art giants like Murakami Takashi and Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Especially, products featuring a flower character that combines NewJeans’ symbol NJ Tokki and Murakami Takashi’s signature Murakami Flower are highly anticipated. Various items such as plush keyrings, plush cushions, bags, and pouches are prepared, along with keyrings, smart tok, and pin badges featuring sketches of the members drawn by Murakami Takashi himself.
Collaborative products with Hiroshi Fujiwara are also drawing attention. A range of street fashion items, including T-shirts, bandanas, ball caps, and backpacks printed with the team’s name and member names in Korean, English, and Japanese handwriting, are ready.
Notably, the Shibuya pop-up store will feature an interactive media experience space where visitors can immerse themselves in the characters and artists. The pre-booking for ‘Supernatural POP-UP,’ starting at 11 a.m. on the 21st, is expected to be highly competitive. Earlier this month, the pop-up store held at Line Friends Square in Sinsa to commemorate the release of the double single ‘How Sweet’ saw its first-day pre-visit bookings close in just 20 minutes.
NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ pop-up store will officially open at 1 p.m. on the opening day. Additionally, NewJeans is set to reveal the ‘Supernatural’ stage for the first time on Fuji TV’s morning show ‘Mezamashi TV’ on the same day.
