NCT WISH, the final NCT subunit, successfully concluded their first nationwide fan meeting tour in Seoul. Consisting of members Sion, Riku, Yushi, JaeHee, Ryo,ย andย Sakuya, the group filled the venue with their refreshing energy and left fans on a super high after their show.
According to SM Entertainment, NCT WISH’s nationwide fan meeting tour, “NCT WISH: SCHOOL of WISH“, was held five times at the Myung-hwa Live Hall in Seoul at 7 PM on the 24th, and at 2 PM and 7 PM on the 25th and 26th. The Seoul performances sold out immediately upon ticket release, leading to the addition of an extra session due to the overwhelming demand.
True to its name, the fan meeting embraced a school concept. Each session featured a variety of segments inspired by school subjects, such as random dance challenges, relay drawing activities, and timed relay missions, all led by class representatives chosen during the first performance. NCT WISH kept things fresh by changing their outfits for each show, offering fans a unique and fun experience reminiscent of new school friends. They also read and responded to notes written by fans, eliciting enthusiastic reactions.
NCT WISH performed a rich setlist that included their debut single title track ‘WISH’, the song ‘Sail Away’, an unreleased track ‘NASA,’ and the Korean version of their pre-debut song ‘Hands Up’. They also captivated the audience with a charming cover of SHINee’s ‘Replay’, showcasing their fresh and confident appeal.
As they wrapped up the fan meeting, NCT WISH expressed their heartfelt gratitude: “We had five fan meetings in Seoul, and we sincerely thank everyone who filled the seats for each performance. We were so moved that it felt like we couldnโt live without Czennies (nickname for NCTzens – the fandom name). Just like precious school memories last a lifetime, we will never forget the time spent during this fan meeting. We hope to see you for a long, long time.” They also heightened anticipation by teasing the Korean version release of their second Japanese single ‘Songbird’, set to be unveiled on June 26th.
Finally, responding to fans’ encore requests, NCT WISH returned to the stage from the audience to perform the Korean version of ‘We Go!’ with an uplifting message of moving forward together. They interacted closely with the audience, creating yet another special memory and concluding the Seoul fan meeting on a high note.
NCT WISH will continue their nationwide fan meeting tour with the next stop at Busan Dream Theater on June 1st.
