On Thursday, December 19th, at 10 PM, TV Chosun’s flagship trot audition program ‘Mr. Trot 3’ will finally premiere. ‘Mr. Trot 3′ is set to be a stage for the birth of another trot emperor following Lim YoungWoong and Ahn SungHoon, with the ambition to open a new chapter in the K-trot Korean Wave. The anticipation for this program is already intense. The recently released profiles and teaser videos of the 101 participating teams have further heightened fans’ expectations.
This season features participants with a variety of charms. Notable are active trot singers like Kim YongBin, Son BinAh, Shin InSeon, Choo HyukJin, and Chun Gil, who have both good looks and talent. Additionally, participants like Kim HongNam and Cheon RokDam, who have thrown their hats in the ring with alternate personas, add to the intrigue. Particularly, there is a masked, mysterious contestant that is arousing curiosity.
One of the biggest changes in this ‘Mr. Trot 3’ is the removal of the age limit. As a result, many middle-aged participants over 45 years old are taking part. Participants across various age groups are set to heat up the stage, including South Korea’s first senior model Kim ChilDoo, Kim JiMin from the group sound band DeulGoyangideul, and the oldest contestant, 74-year-old Lee SaengNo.
‘Mr. Trot 3′ captured viewers’ attention with a unique teaser video titled ‘101 Shadows of the Prince.’ The scenes of participants riding horses shirtless or eating cake highlight the raw charm distinctive to the program.
