On Aug. 31, MCND held an online media showcase and Kpopmap covered the event. Here's everything that you need to know.
MCND started the showcase vibrantly by saying that they hoped that they could become a source of strength to their fans during the global pandemic. They hope to show that they can pull off any style of music and earn themselves a new nickname as 'a group that is overflowing with excitement'.
"THE EARTH: SECRET MISSION Chapter. 1" consists of 6 tracks which the members explained whilst previewing a snippet.
The first track is the title track 'Movin' (๋์๊ฒ๋ก)'. Leader Castle J took part in the lyric writing for it. He says that he focused on emphasizing the meaning of the song and creating a fun track. It is a song that shows strength through a powerful beat and by building speed.
The second song is titled '๊ณ ์์ด ์ถค (Cat Waltz)', it was co-written by Castle J, BIC, and Win (MCND's rap line). Win described the song as having a hide-and-seek atmosphere.
The third song is 'BowwowwoW' which carries high-teen energy and funky rhythm. It is a good song to listen to for teens who need cheering up. The fourth song is 'H.B.C' which is an abbreviation for the famous Korean snack 'Honey Butter Chips'. It is meant to be a fun and crisp song.
The fifth song is 'ํ์ ์ ์ฌ๋ ค (Play Pungak)' which MinJae described as an exciting song to bop to. The final track is a fan song about MCND missing their fans called 'REASON'. HuiJun describes the lyrics as explaining why MCND must meet GEM.
The members joyfully sang along to the previews of each song. You can listen to the highlight medley here.
The members performed 'Movin'' for the first time. One of the special things about this performance was that the members each got the opportunity to either have a solo or duet dance. The song had multiple switch-ups which kept each moment of the performance exciting.
There was a lot of attention to detail in the choreography, especially with the point move which happens when the members repeat the word 'Movin'' and pump one leg side-to-side. Another point dance move is when they sing 'quick quick' and sway their arms side-to-side in circular motions.
Here is the full live performance of 'Movin' (๋์๊ฒ๋ก)'.

When asked what their goal for this comeback is, Win said that although it is an ambitious goal, he wants the group to be recognized on an international chart such as Billboard.
When asked about what they focused on during this comeback, the boys said that the rap line focused on improving their style and the vocal line had more higher pitched parts. These are things that they felt the group was lacking before.
Before their comeback, they also dropped a trailer for 'REASON' which is their song dedicated to GEMs. Each member got to show off their solo dance skills to affectionate lyrics. They made sure that GEMs know that they are the reason that MCND can keep moving forward. Fans were not only moved by the touching song but also impressed by the music video-styled trailer. The group is already famous as an 'All-Main Dancer' group.
During their comeback showcase, Kpopmap asked the members how they think each of their individual dancing styles could be described.
Castle J said that power and beat control was his specialty. HuiJun said that his ability to do both powerful and soft dance styles was his talent. BIC described his dance style as groovy. MinJae described his dance style as colorful, and Win said that his style could be described through the word 'Youngblood.'
