MAMAMOO’s WheeIn Makes A Comeback With First Full-Length Album “In The Mood”

MAMAMOO’s WheeIn is back in the spotlight with her long-awaited first full-length album, “In The Mood.” This release marks the second part of her “WHEE IN (輝人)” identity series, a journey that began in January 2022 with her second mini-album, “WHEE.” In “WHEE,” she delved into her connection to light (輝), and now, in “In The Mood,” she’s eager to reveal her natural human (人) side that lies beneath.

I was quite nervous and anxious to release my first full album, but I’m very excited to finally share this album with the world. There are 11 tracks in this album and special thanks to HwaSa and HAON for featuring in this album, they really brought even more charm to this album. In addition, I challenged myself to a whole new genre for me! Please give lots of love and support for “In the Mood”.

This musical masterpiece brings to life WheeIn’s extensive range, showcasing 11 tracks that span various genres. The album’s title track, ‘In the Mood’, is a medium-tempo pop sensation infused with R&B elements, delivering a powerful message about self-discovery and finding that elusive “Mood” within oneself. It encapsulates WheeIn’s artistry, making it a must-listen for fans.

An exciting collaboration in the album is ’17’, where WheeIn teams up with her longtime friend and fellow MAMAMOO member, HwaSa, for the very first time. The track promises a unique blend of their talents. Meanwhile, ‘Bite Me’ takes a soulful R&B direction and features rapper HAON, who not only lends his vocals but also contributes to the song’s rap writing.

A standout gem in the album is the final track, ‘Here I Am’. This self-written pop-rock ballad is WheeIn’s heartfelt message to her fans. In the midst of darkness, she aims to convey her unwavering determination to persevere and keep her inner light shining brightly.

“In The Mood” is set to captivate fans and music lovers worldwide, as WheeIn continues to assert her dominance as “The Sound Queen” with this eclectic and deeply personal musical journey.
