Singer Lee Jung has revealed his plans to move to Seoul after living in Jeju for a long time. On the September 16th broadcast of SBS Power FM’s “Escape at 2PM Cultwo Show,” where he participated as a special DJ, Lee Jung continued a lively conversation with fans.
During the broadcast, Kim TaeKyoon asked about his recent activities, mentioning that it had been quite a while since Lee Jung moved to Jeju. Lee Jung replied, “It’s been almost 15 years.” When asked about the news of his move to Seoul, Lee Jung responded with a smile, “You heard about it,” and added, “I’m currently considering (the move) seriously.” In response, Kim TaeKyoon expressed anticipation, saying, “If you’re planning it, we might see you often on ‘Cultwo Show.'” Lee Jung also humorously remarked, “I hope so. It’d be great to be a special DJ every week.”
Reflecting on the start of his life in Jeju, Lee Jung recalled, “I originally planned to immigrate to Hawaii, but ended up staying in Jeju due to the suggestion of my senior, Lee JaeHoon from Cool.” He humorously shared the moment he first fell for his wife, mentioning how he was struck by her presence when she first walked into a cafรฉ.
Lee Jung married a non-celebrity woman in 2021 and recently appeared on KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” with his family to share updates. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2023 but completed treatment swiftly and is preparing for his return to the entertainment industry through an exclusive contract with P&B Entertainment.
Meanwhile, singer Lee HyoRi has also been in the spotlight recently for moving from Jeju to Seoul. She and her husband have been active since moving to Seoul last year after living in Jeju since their marriage in 2013.
Anticipation is growing to see if Lee Jung will usher in a new golden era in Seoul. Future activities are eagerly awaited.
