Hello and welcome to the special news reward article of the Best Female Character in K-Dramas released in 2022. In 2022, we had a plethora of amazing female characters who made the hearts of viewers beat endlessly in sheer love and admiration for them. Beautiful, powerful, passionate, strong-willed, diligent, and with an unwavering desire to not conform to societal expectations, pressure, or assumptions, these female characters much for anything were truly inspiring.

In line with this, in both halves of 2022, we took a poll asking our readers to vote for the best female K-Drama characters. A lot of votes were duly cast in each poll and to seek the ultimate WINNER OF WINNERS, we compiled the top 8 placed characters in both polls to form the list for the vote and asked our global readers to pick their favorite.

The winner of this poll gets the reward of 1) Digital signage throughout March at Megabox COEX video advertising And 2) A special news article. 

Yet again a lot of votes were cast and we thank you for your keen interest and participation in the poll. The result is in! Here is the best female K-Drama character in 2022 in the WINNER OF WINNERS category as voted by global fans.

Shin HaRi - "Business Proposal"

A character is nothing without the incredible talent of an actor who beautifully brings them to life. And thanks to the incomparable Kim SeJeong, viewers are able to relate with and deeply admire the character Shin HaRi.

She brilliantly portrayed Shin HaRi in a way that made fans not just further respect her talents but also easily gravitated to and understood the character as well. Thanks to her, with 41,481 votes, fans believe Shin HaRi is the best female character in 2022, as she ranks 1st on the poll.

Funny, smart, talented, bold, loyal, and with a little penchant for chaos, Shin HaRi was no doubt a very interesting character, and right from her very first scene, she gripped the attention of viewers who were duly swayed by her expressive charms. Throughout the course of the series, she portrayed three different essential traits that made everyone fall in love with her.

 

1. A loyal friend and a dutiful daughter

Shin HaRi was portrayed as a kind-hearted and responsible character who would do anything for her friends and loved ones. For the right price at least. Her relationship with her best friend Jin YoungSeo (Seol InA) was one of the key features of the story as it beautifully showed viewers her essence and the kind of person she was. Loyal and selfless to a fault, she willingly went out of her way to help her friend deal with uncomfortable situations, she constantly provided a sense of comfort and reassurance when needed, and always strived to help and make her family proud. While also giving us a dose of chaotic familial banter that made many want to be a member of her family.

 

2. A passionate worker

One of the main aspects of Shin HaRi's character that many would enjoy (especially team leaders or bosses) was her fiery passion for her work and her go-getter attitude. She had an in-depth knowledge about her work and company and utilized her skill to help bring more success to her organization, even with no expectations of rewards and recognition. She understood the importance of her work and consistently strived to give her best. Even though this feature was a subtle note as the central focus was more on the trope of office romance, it still added so much value to the quality of her character and charm.

 

3. The ideal type girlfriend

Joining the aforementioned features, Shin HaRi is also the ultimate girl crush as she doesn't just pose as the dutiful friend or talented worker but also as an attentive and caring lover as well, the kind that made the hearts of many viewers swell with her heart-warming and romantic actions. Ultimately adding so much to her appeal, her willingness to always help and care for Kang TaeMu (Ahn HyoSeop), despite their crazy encounters, different backgrounds, and societal standings often took central focus in her storyline, presenting her as bold, considerate, and affectionate.
