The K-pop group Kep1er has completed preparations for their return to the stage as a newly configured seven-member group. Following the departure of Mashiro and Kang Yeseo, their sixth mini album, released without any hiatus, encapsulates their passion and love for their fans. The title track ‘Tippy Toes’ is a hyper pop genre song that showcases Kep1er’s unique charm and heralds their new beginning.
‘Tippy Toes’ was unveiled on November 1st, captivating fans with its vibrant hyper pop melody. Vocalist ChaeHyun shared, “Hyper pop is a genre unfamiliar in Korea, but we aimed to present it in Kep1er’s style.” This track, featuring a fast-paced melody and lively atmosphere, represents a new musical endeavor and surpassed 4 million views within a day of its release, garnering significant attention.
The music video also captures the mature visuals and individuality of the members, drawing fans’ attention. In a fantasy-like setting, each member showcases their unique charm, revealing a more mature side.
Kep1er became the first Mnet audition group to successfully renew their contract, demonstrating the team’s cohesion. The members shared that they approached the album production with the same mindset as their debut track ‘WADADA.’ They continue to maintain a strong bond with the departed members, supporting each other.
Known for their strength in ‘performance,’ Kep1er rated the choreography difficulty of their new song ‘Tippy Toes’ as 7 out of 10, with its addictive moves encouraging fans to take on the challenge. The ‘Hands Dance,’ in particular, resembles the action of folding paper in the directions of east, west, south, and north, allowing anyone to easily follow along.
As they enter their third year since debut, Kep1er aspires to shine even brighter on stage. Their goal is simple yet clear: “We want people to say ‘Oh! Those are the ones who perform well on stage!’ when asked about Kep1er. We are determined to achieve results as much as we have prepared.”
