The world’s No.1 K-Culture festival, “KCON Japan 2023”, kicked off its first day at the iconic Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba, Japan, bringing together K-Pop fans from around the world for a one-of-a-kind celebration of Korean pop culture. The festival featured global K-Pop favorites and showcased brand new convention programming that delighted fans of all ages.

Last May 12, “KCON Japan 2023” opened its gates for the attendees of the first day of the festival. K-Pop fans were excited, expectant of a day full of exclusive collaboration stages that left fans awe-struck. One of the standout moments of the day was the “Special Collaboration” stage where top female K-Pop artists came together to perform KCON’s signature song ‘POPPIA’. The song was presented by solo artist Choi YeNa, Hikaru and YeongEun from Kep1er, Rio, Maya, and Rima from NiziU, and Isa, SeEun, and Yoon from STAYC.

Another highlight of the day was the “DREAM STAGE”, which allowed fans to audition to perform on stage with their favorite artist. Today, STAYC performed ‘Poppy (Korean ver.)’ with their fans, making for a magical moment that fans will not forget.

“KCON Japan 2023” is also featuring a unique hosting arrangement where each night of the festival is hosted by a pair of one Korean member and one Japanese member. Day 1 was hosted by HyunJae from THE BOYZ and Ayaka from NiziU, who made sure that the fans were fully entertained and engaged throughout the day. Day 2 was hosted by ATEEZ‘s YunHo and LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha. The last day of the event was hosted by ITZY‘s RyuJin and ENHYPEN‘s Ni-Ki.

“KCON Japan 2023” was held for 3 days, until yesterday, May 14th.
