This new song tells the heartbreaking story of a man crying out for his departed lover, combining passionate tango melodies with Jo MinGyu’s clear vocals to deliver deep emotions.
In this work, Jo MinGyu directly participated in the lyrics and composition to showcase the essence of tango music. He imagined dancing on the streets of Buenos Aires while composing the melody and put a lot of effort into writing the Spanish lyrics himself. Additionally, the bandoneon performance by Ko SangJi adds to the rich and enchanting sound.
Jo MinGyu is scheduled to reveal the live stage of this new song for the first time through his solo concert ‘MONO DRAMA’, held at the Donghae Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater of Kwangwoon University in Seoul on March 2 and 3. The concert is expected to be a stage where his musical skills and emotions can be felt.
‘Recuerdos de Buenos Aires’ by Jo MinGyu is a work newly born from his deep affection and understanding of tango music.
