The sixth episode of the global K-food talk show ‘BYOB’ was released on November 8th at 10 AM on the YouTube channel ‘JohnMaat’, garnering significant attention. The star of this episode was J.Y. Park, the head of JYP Entertainment and a legend of K-POP. He showcased a variety of stories and performances in a friendly atmosphere based on his deep friendship with hosts Park JoonHyung and Brian.
This episode, which began with J.Y. Park’s appearance, opened with a talk reminiscing on memories with Park JoonHyung during his days as a producer for G.O.D. Responding to questions about his strictness at that time, J.Y. Park explained, “Park JoonHyung had a laid-back attitude typical of California. It seemed to be a cultural difference.” Park JoonHyung added, “The reason I could endure those days was that J.Y. Park was like a brother and a close friend to me, except when we were working,” highlighting their 25-year friendship.
The story of G.O.D’s success was also continued. J.Y. Park recalled, “During the activities for the first and second albums, we were very hungry, but the third album exploded. It sold over 2 million copies,” and reminisced, “The 10 years I spent with G.O.D were some of the best moments of my life.”
J.Y. Park also demonstrated his role as the head of JYP Entertainment. He confidently revealed, “When I said K-POP would do well in the United States, everyone laughed at me. But I thought it could work.” He proudly added, “Last year, Stray Kids had the second best-selling album in the U.S.”
On this day, J.Y. Park performed a live stage of his recently released song ‘Easy Lover (아니라고 말해줘)’, adding soulful emotion with his electronic piano performance. Park JoonHyung and Brian completed an excellent stage under his coaching.
Finally, in the ‘Hot Challenge’ corner, J.Y. Park’s favorite snack, tteok-kkochi, appeared, and he amused the audience by giving Park JoonHyung and Brian a mission to generously apply sauce on each other.
‘BYOB’ is a global K-food talk show where Park JoonHyung and Brian become owners of a K-Pocha and have honest conversations in English with guests. It is released every Friday at 10 AM on the YouTube channel ‘JohnMaat’. We look forward to more exciting episodes with various guests in the future.
