HaYoung debuted as a member of fromis_9 in January 2018. Prior to officially standing on stage, she went through a rigorous survival competition program, Mnet’s “Idol School”, where she competed with other trainees to eventually earn her spot as a member in the final debut lineup. With this experience as a foundation, HaYoung rises up to every challenge and proves that she was simply made for the stage, transforming into the well-rounded idol that stands in front of us today.

One thing HaYoung is known for are her majestic vocals. Her singing expertise is like no other as she’s able to conform her voice to every genre available. HaYoung is able to hit high notes with ease, even nailing the extremely difficult whistle notes live on stage. Whether she’s singing a high tempo dance track or emotional ballad, her vocals remain distinct and rich in quality.
