Jeon SoYeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE, officially announced her contract renewal with Cube Entertainment and expressed her gratitude to fans. On December 1st, Jeon SoYeon shared multiple photos on her social media account along with the message, “Thank you so much to Neverver and everyone who loves (G)I-DLE’s music.” The photos captured her attending the ‘2024 Melon Music Awards.’
Jeon SoYeon stated, “Over the past seven years, experiencing joy, sadness, frustration, and hope together, the five of us have become stronger,” adding, “It took a bit of time to say this because we are friends who grew up in different environments in different countries and met as adults.”
She also expressed her deep affection for the members, saying, “We all shared the thought of staying together as five. I am very happy and proud that we can continue to be together as the leader of (G)I-DLE. Let’s be together forever, Neverver and (G)I-DLE.”
Last month, during (G)I-DLE’s world tour concert held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, Jeon SoYeon sparked rumors of discord with the agency by altering lyrics to say, “November contract termination, who can stop me.” This heightened interest in whether she would renew her contract, as it was set to expire in November.
