tvN’s popular program ‘You Quiz on the Block’ has claimed the top spot in the TV-OTT integrated non-drama popularity survey for the 5th week of October. The survey was announced by Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex, and a noteworthy highlight is G-Dragon’s appearance as a guest, which secured him the number one spot for non-drama participants’ popularity. This marks the first time in 12 weeks that ‘You Quiz’ has reached number one since actor Um TaeGoo’s appearance in the second week of August.
In second place was Netflix’s ‘Chef in Black & White: Culinary Class War.’ Among the cast, Kang SeungWon gained attention by ranking third in participant popularity, with Choi HyunSeok and An SungJae also making it to ninth and tenth places, respectively.
Coupang Playโs ‘SNL Korea Season 6’ took the third spot in non-drama popularity, with guest Go JunHee securing the second position in participant popularity. Mnet’s ‘Stage Fighter’ saw a 58.9% increase in popularity compared to the previous week, landing in fourth place, and participant Choi HoJong made it into the non-drama participant popularity TOP10 for the first time.
‘I Am Solo’ by ENA/SBS Plus ranked fifth, while positions six to ten were occupied by TVING’s ‘Lab: Public,’ JTBC’s ‘A Clean Sweep,’ SBS’s ‘Running Man,’ MBC’s ‘I Live Alone,’ and Channel A’s ‘Steel Troops W,’ respectively.
In the non-drama participant popularity rankings, Lee JiAn of ‘Dolsinglers 6’ took fourth place, while Lee SeoJin of ‘Teum,’ Jung DaeSe of ‘Once in a Lifetime, Divorce Decision,’ and Kim JaeJoong of “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” secured the sixth to eighth positions.
These rankings are based on survey results targeting TV non-drama and OTT original non-drama programs broadcast or scheduled from October 28 to November 3, 2024, along with participants and guests of each program. Data collected from news articles, Voice of Netizen (VON), videos, and social media were analyzed to evaluate program competitiveness, boasting an accuracy of over 97%.
