izx! is a project group consisting of 4 members under the company The Waves. Including members YuHan (MinCheon – former WE IN THE ZONE) from Korea, Max (HORI7ON’s Marcus) from the Philippines, Windz (GHOST9’s Prince) from Thailand, and Wang Wang (PICKUS’ Ricky) from Hong Kong, this international group is made up of K-Pop idols who are either currently in groups of their own or promoting as a solo artist.
The group prides itself on its standout charisma, global influence with multinational members, and their youthful energy that allows them to show up even when you least expect it.
izx! has been showcasing their charms through a series of variety episodes called “WE ARE izx! The Suspicious Debut Project: izx!” available on the ALL THE K-POP YouTube Channel showcasing their debut process and leading into their promotional activities. Their recent photo exhibition acted as an extension of this, showcasing some of the key moments you might’ve have seen on the show.
izx! held their “izx!’s Suspicious Exhibition” photo exhibition at the MBC Smart Center in Seoul from Sunday, October 13th to Saturday, October 19th. They invited fans to come and walk down a literal memory lane in the form of photos and memorabilia encompassing their pre-debut journey, behind-the-scenes moments from filming, and even merchandise from sponsoring companies.
Kpopmap was officially invited to check out the photo exhibition by the izx! team and we’ve compiled a review to share it with you!
The first thing that we spotted upon walking into the exhibition space was rows upon rows of high-quality photos capturing the members’ fun energy. Whether it was a behind-the-scenes look at their antics as they filmed their variety show, or getting an up-close-and-personal look at their recording sessions, you immediately got immersed into the world of izx! and their sincerity towards music and their promotions as a group.
One thing was for sure. There was no lack of handsome pictures of the members!
There was almost something magical about being able to see the members through the images that were on display. Despite only capturing the members’ image, the photos all manage to capture their vibrant spirits, as well. It’s almost as if the glowing visuals of the izx! members jump through the frame and grabs your attention, appealing the charms of this dashing quartet.
One of the most interesting displays they had at the izx! photo exhibition was an experience zone where you could change a phone’s wallpaper to the member of your choice by tapping the phone on a photo of the member’s face, equipped with NFC technology.
You could also get a glimpse at the outfits that they wore in their ‘WAVY’ music video, really bringing the exhibition to life.
Along with other valuable memorabilia such as signed autographs and other props that the members have used, the photo exhibition boasted another nostalgic format of photos on display. The members shone in different selfies taken with a polaroid camera and available to take a look at.
The showcase also had various K-Products on display as izx!’s influence promotes these uniquely Korean goods.
Along with these products, izx! merchandise was on display too, including tote bags, mugs, and even cups.
We can’t forget to mention Kpopmap’s very own kit album that will be made for the members soon. The kit album of Triple iz (the global project girl group from the first season of this project) was showcased alongside member MinCheon’s album which were both displayed as samples. Initially, the soon-to-be-released kit album for izx! (the global project boy group forming the second season of this project) was meant to be on display. However, it was not released in time for the exhibition.
The exhibition finished off with behind-the-scenes stills of the izx! ‘WAVY’ music video.
There’s no doubt that this exhibition encompassed the passion of the izx! members exceptionally well. In fact, the members even met with fans at the photo exhibition on one of the days, showing their appreciation for the love and support that they have given the members so far. This is how sincere they are about their group activities.
izx! officially debuted on Oct. 23rd. Make sure to watch their ‘WAVY’ music video here!
