Right outside Downtown Dallas, in the heart of the infamous historic Deep Ellum, lines formed for hours. Some fans travelled hundreds of miles to see their favorite group. Not as travelled as the girls though, they just got back into the United States from a successful Latin and South American leg of their tour. The energy was physical, the crowd was loud and Billlie was ready to amaze.
Billlie debuted as a six-member group consisting of Moon SuA, SuHyeon, SiYoon, Tsuki, HaRam, and Haruna under Mystic Story, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, on November 10th, 2021, with their mini album “The Billage of Perception: Chapter One” and the single ‘RING X RING’. Nine days after their debut, they announced the seventh member, Sheon, would be joining the group. They have since released four additional EPs, two single albums, and a Japanese EP.

They opened the show with their debut single and performed their other singles ‘EUNOIA’, ‘GingaMingaYo (the strange world)’, ‘RING ma Bell (what a wonderful world)’, and ‘trampoline’. They also hit some fan-favorites such as ‘flipp!ng a coin’, ‘lionheart (the real me)’, ‘BTTB (Back to the Basics)’, ‘the eleventh day’, ‘snowy night before the end of the world’ and ‘Bluerose’. They even did the English versions of ‘DANG! (hocus pocus)’ and ‘BYOB (bring your own best friend)’. During their unit performances, Tsuki, SiYoon, Sheon, and Haruna did a performance dance of BLACKPINK Lisa’s ‘MONEY’ and aespa’s ‘Whiplash’ while Moon SuA, SuHyeon, and HaRam did a cover of Jessie J’s ‘Bang Bang’.

During their comments, they talked about their love of Texas Barbecue, their first time in Dallas (they’ve played Austin before, but never Dallas), and visiting Santa Claus at the North Park Center. Sheon talked about how she was calmly playing “League of Legends” in the hotel room while Tsuki told a very different version of the story from her perspective watching from the bed. Spoiler alert, Sheon was not calm. She was terrified.
As sad as it is that it took them this long to perform in this city, Billlie made the wait more than worth it. They were full of energy and a smile never left a single member’s face the entire time. You can tell Billlie enjoyed Belllie’ve as much as their fans loved them.
