International K-Pop group XODIAC has just made their comeback with their 2nd mini album “SOME DAY’ on September 25th. The album, and its accompanying title track ‘OUR DAYS’, has been highly anticipated as the group’s first new music release since their 2nd single ‘XOUL DAY’ 6 months prior.
The group consisting of members LEX, HYUNSIK, ZAYYAN, BEOMSOO, WAIN, GYUMIN, SING, DAVIN, and LEO, XODIAC has enamored the hearts of K-Pop fans the world over. Members SING and LEO are from Hong Kong, and ZAYYAN is from Indonesia with the remaining members all being Korean, confirming the group’s international star power.
Since their debut in April 2023, the group has amassed quite a bit of success including, but not limited to, recent achievements such as hosting fan concerts in several countries (including Hong Kong and Japan), having members invited to and walking the runways at Seoul Fashion Week, and many more accomplishments.
Additionally, their adoring fandom, X-BLISS, has been voting for the group diligently for the ASEA 2025 awards monthly votes on the PODOAL App. Read all about how you can vote for XODIAC to win on our site.
Kpopmap had the honor of having an in-person interview with the XODIAC members on September 24th. Filming on set with the members was like being surrounded by light as they all boasted vibrant and youthful energy, just like their concept for “SOME DAY”. We talked about the concepts their new release embodies, the message they want to portray to their fans through their thoughtful lyrics, and even which members they think would be most and least likely to survive an apocalypse. That’s not all, so make sure to read until the end!
Hello XODIAC! Welcome back and thank you for doing another interview with Kpopmap! Our international readers are incredibly excited for your upcoming comeback with the 2nd mini album “SOME DAY”, and speaking of which… Could you please describe this comeback and its concept in 3 words?
I would like to express it as something similar way to ‘refreshing’ and ‘pure’. Please look forward to the refreshing vibe that XODIAC will present.
HYUNSIK
I’d say ‘never give up’, ‘youth’, and ‘comfort’. You’ll be able to feel a different charm from XODIAC this time.
BEOMSOO
This time, we’re showing XODIAC’s own take on refreshing vibes again. Through this album, you’ll feel the bright, fresh atmosphere of the songs and see how the nine of us are moving forward with a single goal and dream. I’d sum it up as, “Youth is right now,” shortened to “청바지”.WAIN
Note: 청바지 (cheong-ba-ji) means ‘jeans’ in Korean and comes from the first letters of the phrase, “청춘은 바로 지금,” which means, “Youth is right now.”
I’d describe it as ‘youth’, ‘healing’, and ‘refreshing’. These are the words that will come to mind when you listen to it.
GYUMIN
We’ve woven the idea of ‘unyielding spirit’ into the theme of youth.
DAVIN
I’d say ‘hope’, ‘youth’, and ‘variety’. We’ve prepared various genres, from ballads to fast-tempo pop songs. Plus, with different unit combinations, we’ll show you more diverse stages.
LEO
It’s an album filled with ‘warmth’, ‘freshness’, and ‘fun’. You’ll be able to feel our cute, lively energy. Many of the songs and choreographies in this album bring an energetic, fresh feeling.
ZAYYAN
You’ll be able to feel ‘youth’, ‘variety’, and ‘dreams’. This album captures our present moment, and through it, you’ll experience our youth and diverse charms.
SING
Once again, you’ve prepared a dazzling and refreshing image for this comeback, continuing the bright and energetic vibe that your fans love! We heard that you’ve prepared a more vibrant transformation this time. How did you decide on the album concept, and what’s the key highlight we should look forward to?
This album was created as an extension of the last one. The most exciting point is XODIAC’s faces and the passion of youth!
HYUNSIK
The songs were chosen after discussing and voting with the members. The key point of this album is that it showcases XODIAC’s unique charm. There are unit songs and choreography that we worked on ourselves, so please look forward to it!
BEOMSOO
All of the members participated in voting to select the title track, which essentially shapes the concept of the album. Since we think of XODIAC as a ‘song master’ and a ‘refreshing master’, we hope you’re excited about those aspects.
WAIN
The company and the members made the decision together. While “XOUL DAY” depicted events happening in a school, this album tells the story of the transition into society. Through this, a special youth healing song was born. No matter how difficult the future may be, as long as you don’t give up on your dreams with your friends by your side, a brighter tomorrow will eventually come. This is the positive message we wanted to convey.
GYUMIN
Once we locked in the keyword of ‘youth’, the refreshing emotions naturally fell into place. The strongest point of this album, unlike the last one, is that all the members participated in the choreography creation!
DAVIN
There were several candidate songs, and the members voted. Initially, I chose ‘FOREVER YOUNG,’ but ‘OUR DAYS’ stood out because of its impact and overall completeness. So, we ended up choosing ‘OUR DAYS’ as the title track. The choreography for ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, which was created by the members, is also a key highlight.

‘LEAN ON ME’ by LEO, SING, and ZAYYAN is personally meaningful. Through this collaboration of the three foreign members, we wanted to show our global fans something new!

With every comeback, you’ve always surprised us with your infinite charm, going beyond what fans could ever imagine. Is there a secret weapon you’ve prepared for this comeback that you could give us a little spoiler about?
In this album, we created the choreography for one of the tracks, ‘FOREVER YOUNG’. Please look forward to it!
LEX
The biggest secret weapon in this album is our title track, ‘OUR DAYS’. We’ve done many refreshing and pure songs, but I think ‘OUR DAYS’ is the freshest one we’ve ever released.
HYUNSIK
I think one of the highlight moments is the rain scene we did for the first time! Also, the members’ style transformations might be the secret weapon.
BEOMSOO
First of all, I want to sincerely thank our X-BLISS fans for always loving and supporting us during our comebacks. We’ve made a lot of changes in our appearance this time, and I hope fans will enjoy all these new looks.
WAIN
While we have many things to show, the secret weapon would be the unit song ‘LEAN ON ME’ by ZAYYAN, LEO, and SING, as well as the choreography for ‘FOREVER YOUNG’ that we all worked on together.

Looking at the tracklist of your mini album “SOME DAY”, it includes songs like ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, ‘BETTER WITH YOU’, and the title track ‘OUR DAYS’ all of which have a sentimental feel with their unique shining personalities. It seems like you’ve put a lot of your feelings for your fans into these songs. What message would you like to convey to the fans who listen to the entire album?
Since our album “SOME DAY” is a healing and comforting one, I hope our fans also feel healed when they listen to it.
LEX
I hope it provides a bit of healing and strength to our X-BLISS who may be feeling tired in their daily lives. I want to tell them, “We’re always here for you, let’s keep going together!”
HYUNSIK
As the title track message says, “Not every day can be positive, but even tough days are okay because our days are precious.” That’s the message I want to convey.
BEOMSOO
Just like the lyrics say, the album delivers the message, “What’s important is an unyielding heart, and let’s enjoy our youth right now,” I hope both our fans and the general public can find comfort and healing from our songs.
WAIN
As this album captures the journey into society, we wanted to convey the hopeful message that, no matter how tough things get, if you overcome them, you can eventually achieve your dreams.
GYUMIN
The tracklist of “SOME DAY” is filled with emotional songs that sparkle with personality. Since we’ve incorporated the theme of ‘unyielding spirit’ into the album, I hope that fans who face difficult times or challenges will find this album to be a guidepost for them.

These days, many people are going through tough times and challenges. We can’t always be happy, but I think the occasional happy moments are enough. I hope we can all move forward together toward a bright future, and I hope our fans feel happiness when they listen to this song.

During your previous comeback, you also produced the music drama “XOUL DAY”, which was a wonderful gift for fans, allowing them to see a new side of you and your potential as acting idols. What was the most challenging part of filming the drama? Can we look forward to seeing more of the members’ acting in this album’s promotions or in the future?
We are all very interested in acting and eager to take on the challenge. If given the opportunity, we’d love to try acting in the future.
LEX
The hardest part was that since none of us had learned acting before, it felt really awkward, and it was hard to hold back laughter. But I’d like to take proper acting lessons and try again someday.
HYUNSIK
During our ‘HEYDAY’ promotions, it was really cold, but this time, the extreme heat made it a bit tough. We even suffered from the heat, but thinking about X-BLISS, we did our best. I think there might be a chance for the members to act in the future, so look forward to it!
BEOMSOO
During our ‘HEYDAY’ promotions, we filmed a drama-style music video. It was the first time for most of the members to act, and it wasn’t easy. But everyone worked hard, and both the staff and the members kept a bright atmosphere on set, so we had a great time shooting. Many of the members are really interested in acting, so if we get another opportunity to act in the future, please look forward to it!
WAIN
The hardest part was the weather—it was freezing, so enduring the cold was tough. Many members are interested in acting, so I think you can look forward to seeing more acting from us in the future.
GYUMIN
You can definitely look forward to seeing XODIAC’s acting in our future activities. We’re all interested in acting, and we have goals to meet our fans in various ways.
DAVIN
I find acting fun too! In Indonesia, I’ve performed in musicals, so I’d love to keep acting in the future.
ZAYYAN
I think acting is really difficult, but I’ll transform for X-BLISS!
SING
If you were the main character in a horror movie, which member do you think would have the lowest chance of surviving? And who do you think would be the most likely to survive until the end?
I think both ZAYYAN and I would have the lowest chance of surviving. As for the most likely to survive, I’d say it would be GYUMIN, HYUNSIK-hyung, or LEX.
BEOMSOO
If we were in a horror movie, I think SING would have the lowest chance of survival. He’s very fearless and would probably wander around and try things out, only to disappear suddenly. The member most likely to survive would be GYUMIN—he’s quick at assessing situations and solving problems, so I think he’d handle things wisely in a movie.
WAIN
I think ZAYYAN wouldn’t survive—he tends to freeze up when he’s stressed. I think LEX would survive until the end. He’s good at cooking and always finds something to eat, which would be an advantage.
GYUMIN
ZAYYAN would be the first to go, and GYUMIN would survive until the very end. GYUMIN is really smart.
LEO
I think BEOMSOO would be the first to go. He tends to react slowly, so he’d probably say, “Huh? What? Why?” and then disappear suddenly. GYUMIN, on the other hand, is a smart member who knows how to navigate life.
SING
I think I’d be the first to go—I’m really scared of ghosts. GYUMIN is smart and knows how to handle things, so he’d probably survive.

XODIAC, you are also well-known as fashion idols! Ahead of the comeback, recently LEX, ZAYYAN, SING, HYUNSIK, LEO, and WAIN were invited to various shows at the 2025 S/S Seoul Fashion Week. How did it feel to attend those events? BEOMSOO, you also made your runway debut. What was it like walking on the runway?
It was such an honor to be invited to this Fashion Week, just like last time. Thank you for always inviting us. Watching the models walk the runway gave me a lot of inspiration, and I was so happy to be part of the Fashion Week scene.
LEX
First, I want to thank them for inviting us. Even though I was invited as a celebrity, I was so proud and impressed with our member BEOMSOO for walking the runway so confidently. I was worried if he might feel nervous, but honestly, I was the one who was nervous!
HYUNSIK
My childhood dream was to become a model, so I understand how difficult it is to get to that stage, and I’m extremely grateful and honored. I’d love to participate again if given the opportunity!
BEOMSOO
Since I majored in modeling and acting, I’ve always been very interested in fashion and modeling. I’m sincerely thankful for being able to attend Fashion Week once again this year, and I had a great time watching the show. As someone who once dreamed of becoming a model, I’d love to try walking the runway if the chance arises.
WAIN
Did you prepare anything special for your runway walk, like practicing model walking?
I watched a lot of model walking videos and practiced following along to learn as much as I could.
BEOMSOO

Do you pay special attention to your fashion when you go out to maintain your fashion idol image?
Since I often go to the gym or practice rooms, I usually wear comfortable clothes.
BEOMSOO
I pay the most attention to managing my body, especially my shoulders. I’m really interested in the latest fashion items, so I often look them up online. I particularly like accessories.
LEO
I also like to use accessories to add a pop to my outfits. I frequently wear necklaces, rings, and bracelets and change them depending on my outfit for the day.
LEX
The message of this album revolves around the concept of “중꺾마” (jung-kkeok-ma, which is the importance of having an unbreakable spirit). In the spirit of this message, XODIAC, you’ve been slowly but steadily growing as artists. With this album, what is your goal, and what is your ultimate goal as a group?
Our main goal with this album is to raise awareness of XODIAC as a group, and our ultimate aim is to become singers who can be role models for many.
HYUNSIK
I truly love my job, and I want to continue doing this for a long time. I hope we can gradually become more well-known, and my personal goal is to keep doing this work even when I’m in my 30s or 40s.
BEOMSOO
I want to make XODIAC’s name more known through this album, and if possible, I’d love to achieve first place on a music show. Ultimately, I want XODIAC to grow into artists who have a positive influence on people.
WAIN
My goal is to make XODIAC more well-known to the public, and I hope we can achieve first place on a music show.
GYUMIN
My ultimate goal is for XODIAC to grow as “creative idols” and “self-producing idols,” contributing to songwriting and composition starting with this album!
DAVIN
Through this album, I want more people to get to know XODIAC. I also want to grow into a better artist and become someone others look up to as a role model.

In what ways has XODIAC grown the most through this album?
Everyone has gotten better at handling their parts naturally and confidently. We’ve also improved a lot in singing and dancing.
HYUNSIK
I think the individual growth of each member has been noticeable. We worked together on choreography, built team unity, and spent time giving each other feedback on singing, so we’ve grown a lot overall.
BEOMSOO
We practiced a lot individually, so our personal skills have improved, and we also grew creatively by working on choreography together.
GYUMIN
It’s our teamwork. The team’s vibe has improved so much, and I feel so comfortable and happy when we’re together.
LEO
I’ve been keeping an eye on everyone’s visuals, and they’ve all gotten cooler.
SING
Our teamwork has definitely gotten better. We sync up with each other more smoothly in dance routines. LEO, SING, and I have also improved our Korean a lot!
ZAYYAN
Our teamwork has really strengthened, and everyone’s vocal skills have improved a lot. I think we’ll be able to take on various genres of music in the future.
LEX
Each member of XODIAC has a very unique style and personality. If you were to express yourself as a scent, what would it be? Or, what kind of scent would you like to embody?
I want to be the scent of Christmas. To me, the smell of a fireplace on Christmas Day feels special because it’s such a meaningful occasion. I want to be someone who comes to mind on such a special and happy day.
LEX
I really love the smell of winter mornings, so I’d like to have that kind of scent.
HYUNSIK
I want to embody the scent of dawn air. The atmosphere at dawn is dreamy, sometimes calm, and sometimes overwhelming. I want to be X-BLISS’ dawn air before each day begins.
BEOMSOO
I’m very sensitive to scents and I love perfumes. I’d describe myself as a cool, dawn air scent. It feels cold at first, but once it blends into your skin, the lingering scent becomes unforgettable. I often hear that I come off as cold at first, but I’d like to be remembered as someone who stays on people’s minds, someone they want to see again.
WAIN
The smell of the cool breeze on the way home from school when you get out early—that breeze always made me feel good.
GYUMIN
I’d describe myself with the scents I like. First, musk for my soft and emotional side. Then wood for a bit of depth, showing that I’m not all light-hearted. Lastly, cotton for a clean and fresh impression I’d like to leave.
DAVIN
Personally, I love musk—it’s warm, delicate, and feels comforting. I think this scent suits me well.
LEO
When I sweat, I feel like I smell like a peach, so I think I’d describe my scent as peachy.
SING
I’d like to embody a fresh citrus scent. It’s pleasant and has a long-lasting refreshing feel.
ZAYYAN

[TMI Talk] During your promotions, you have such a busy schedule, finishing late at night and starting early the next day, and fans always worry about XODIAC’s health during comeback activities. Could you reassure your fans by sharing each of your personal tips for staying fit?
Even though we’re all busy, I make sure to take care of my body by eating properly and taking vitamins. I hope X-BLISS always remembers that XODIAC is by their side. I’m always thankful, and I love you, X-BLISS!
LEX
I try to make sure I take my vitamins, so don’t worry, X-BLISS~
HYUNSIK
I eat a lot and work out hard! I drink plenty of water and always take my vitamins too!
BEOMSOO
I recommend regular exercise. It’s great not only for your body but also has a clearing effect on your mind, so I highly recommend it. Also, the weather is getting colder these days, so even if it’s a bit warm during the day, it gets chilly in the evening. Carry a jacket with you and take vitamins to boost your immunity. It’s also important to eat meals on time.
WAIN
I take around seven vitamins every day.
GYUMIN
As many fans already know, I tend to stay up late, but I want to reassure you that I also make sure to get enough sleep when I can. I also regularly consume caffeine and vitamins, so don’t worry too much.
DAVIN
I tend to catch colds easily during seasonal changes. Make sure to get enough sleep and take your vitamins—it helps.
LEO
I often catch colds, but when I do, I become stronger and overcome them. I also try to work out regularly and take my vitamins.
SING
I often drink warm jasmine tea and eat hot stews to keep my body warm.
ZAYYAN
The weather is getting colder with fall coming soon. Do you have any tips for fans to avoid catching colds?
Once it starts getting colder, make sure to always carry a coat! That way, you won’t feel cold throughout the day.
BEOMSOO
As the weather gets colder and drier, it’s a good idea to always carry a jacket and use a humidifier.

[TMI Talk] Before your upcoming comeback, we had the Chuseok holiday. Thank you for preparing such a special gift for your fans with your “X-CLASS” Chuseok cooking special and greeting video! Since you were likely busy preparing for your comeback during the holiday, you may not have had time to spend with your family. How did you spend your time?
Thankfully, the CEO gave us time off for Chuseok, so I got to see my family and friends. I got some healing time before the comeback, and I think I’ll be able to promote in a much better mood.
HYUNSIK
For Chuseok, we filmed a cooking contest as part of our own content. I’m not very good at cooking, so I got a lot of help from the other members. I was also grateful to have a break for Chuseok, so I spent time with my family and friends and recharged for our comeback.
WAIN
I got a break and went to see my family.
GYUMIN
During Chuseok, I relieved the fatigue from past promotions and practice by getting a massage and visiting a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna). Since I had a good rest, I want to give my all to this comeback.
DAVIN
I didn’t get to visit Hong Kong this time, so I stayed and practiced. However, I did video call my family and shared some of our conversation with the fans.
LEO
I spent some fun time with my family, and during the rest of the holiday, I returned to the dorm to practice and prepare for the comeback.
BEOMSOO
I went home to see my family and greet them. I ate a lot of meat and gave up the rest of the holiday to focus on preparing for the comeback.
LEX
I didn’t go to Hong Kong this time, so I stayed at the dorm and practiced for the comeback. I can see my family next time.
SING
I didn’t go to Indonesia this time, but I did video call my mom. I also met up with some of my Indonesian friends who are already working in Korea, and we ate Indonesian food together.
ZAYYAN
Have you ever made the dishes you learned from filming at the dorm? Who’s the best cook?
I’m roommates with GYUMIN, and at the dorm, we usually prepare simple meals rather than fully cooking. I’m confident about cooking ramyeon! I’m not great at cooking, but I can make delicious ramyeon.
WAIN
We usually order delivery food. LEX is the one who cooks the most.
GYUMIN
I once made octopus sushi for the members, and they loved it. I mostly cook Korean dishes, but the members are starting to make their own meals now.
LEX

If there’s one dish you could confidently make for X-BLISS, what would it be?
A special ramyeon with rice cakes, cheese, dumplings, and eggs.
HYUNSIK
If I have the recipe, there’s nothing I can’t make! Just tell me what you want to eat, and I’ll make it for you!
BEOMSOO
Kimchi fried rice and bean sprout bulgogi.
GYUMIN
I made rolled omelets for the first time, and it was easier than I thought, so I want to try cooking again!
LEO
Janchi-guksu (Korean banquet noodles). I use chives and shiitake mushrooms for the broth to give it a unique flavor. Please look forward to it.
LEX
I’m certified in Western cuisine in Hong Kong, so I’d love to make you a steak. I’ll make it with Hanwoo (Korean beef) just for you.
SING
I’d love to make you egg rice with my special chili sauce. It’s spicy but delicious, so I hope you look forward to it.
ZAYYAN
XODIAC, it’s already been over a year since your debut, and by now there must be many junior groups on music shows. Looking back on your rookie days, how would you like to take care of your juniors? And as seniors, what kind of role model group do you want to be?
My role models are the EXO sunbaenim. Whenever I see them, I always think, “Wow… how do they pull off those expressions, gestures, and songs so well?” I want younger artists to feel the same way when they look at XODIAC, and I want them to feel inspired to follow me and our group’s example.
HYUNSIK
It might be tough, but I just hope the juniors won’t feel uncomfortable around us!
BEOMSOO
It’s still amazing to think that we have juniors. There are already so many great seniors and juniors, so we’ll work hard to be the kind of seniors and juniors that others can look up to. We also want to remain humble, keep learning, and grow as a group.
WAIN
Since I haven’t been active as an idol for that long, I think we’re all pretty much in the same boat. I feel like I can encourage them and tell them to keep up the good work! In the future, I want XODIAC to be an irreplaceable role model group in various fields.
GYUMIN
If our juniors ever asked for advice, I’d tell them to showcase everything they’ve prepared and worked hard for. I’d also tell them not to be too nervous! It’s still hard to imagine, though. Haha.
DAVIN
It sometimes doesn’t feel real that we’ve already been debuted for a year. I’d tell the juniors to take good care of their health and mindset. I’ve realized that having a strong body and mind is the most important thing.
LEO
I hope they can highlight their own individuality. It would be great if their unique charms could shine. I’d encourage them to believe that their path is the right one and keep moving forward.
SING
There are many foreign members who want to become idols. Since I’m doing it, I’d tell them to give it a try!
ZAYYAN
I hope juniors who watch my dance videos or gestures feel that there’s a lot they can learn from me. I’d tell them to practice expressions in front of a mirror—it really helps.
