K-pop sensation ENHYPEN is ready to take the world by storm this summer with their second full-length album, ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’, featuring the title track ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes)’.
On the 1st of this month, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) revealed the tracklist poster for ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’ through Belift Lab’s official social media channels. The album, set to be released on the 12th at 1 PM KST, includes a total of 10 tracks, such as ‘Hundred Broken Hearts’, ‘Brought The Heat Back’, and ‘Highway 1009’.
‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’ narrates the story of a boy who falls in love with ‘you’, who belongs to a completely different world. The album intricately weaves this tale through each song, showcasing the boy’s devotion to ‘you’, who makes him a better person. The title track, ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes)’, encapsulates this narrative, expressing the boy’s determination to overcome any obstacles to fulfill ‘your’ wishes if only ‘you’ give your consent. The song’s title, ‘XO’, symbolizes a kiss (X) and a hug (O), representing both opposition and acceptance.
This marks ENHYPEN’s first full-length album in approximately 2 years and 9 months, and the group has poured their expanded musical capabilities into it. Notably, all members participated in the creation of the 8th track, ‘Highway 1009’, which was written, composed, and produced by Heeseung. Jungwon also contributed by composing the topline for the 4th track, ‘Hundred Broken Hearts’, highlighting the members’ increased involvement in the album’s production.
The album also features contributions from renowned producers who have crafted global hits. JVKE, who produced the Billboard Hot 100 hit ‘golden hour’, elevated the musical quality of the title track ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes)’. Additionally, Cirkut, who worked on the title track ‘Bite Me’ from their fourth mini-album ‘DARK BLOOD’, reunites with ENHYPEN for the fifth track, ‘Brought The Heat Back’. ‘Bite Me’ gained massive popularity, becoming the fastest ENHYPEN music video to reach 100 million views worldwide.
