Choi KangHee revealed that she has donated blood 46 times so far and was awarded a silver medal for blood donation merit in the past. Speaking about what motivated her to start donating blood, she recalled, “Whenever my self-esteem got too low, I went to donate blood. She was selected as a matching donor for one of the siblings suffering from leukemia and emphasized that this donation was an invaluable experience.
Hematopoietic stem cells are cells that produce red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, primarily distributed in the pelvic area. Choi KangHee fondly recalled her three-day hospital stay for the transplant, expressing gratitude for the comfort provided by the hospital and the visits from friends that uplifted her spirits.
Choi KangHee revealed that she initially kept the donation a secret from her mother, but her mother found out due to a colleague’s photo release. The broadcast moved many viewers, reminding them of the preciousness of sharing life.
