What was it like for Cha EunWoo growing up?
He is arguably the most handsome K-Pop idol in the world as many have stated that they’ve never seen visuals that stood out as much as his in the past. And his mother apparently was fully aware of just how handsome her son was, even during his childhood days.
Which is why EunWoo’s mother had her reasons for being very strict and stern with him during his childhood, but for a wise reason.

EunWoo talked about how he would often want his mother to compliment him. However, his mother actually was quite frugal when it came to complimenting her son.
And here’s why.
She stated:
“Ever since you were just a boy, it was evident that you were handsome and it set you apart from everyone else.”

“I thought that you would become arrogant and rude when you grew up, so I held you down.”

“That is why I always told you that there were many handsome faces out there in the world.”

“I always wanted to compliment you so much.”

She explained to EunWoo that she wanted to be the best mother that she could for him and that sometimes required her to suppress what she really wanted to tell him so that he could grow up to be humble and wholesome. EunWoo’s mother even revealed that she occasionally had to play the part of the villain (from her perspective) to achieve this.
