Recently appearing on KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert – Communication King Grandma Malja,’ Cao Lu of FIESTAR is striving for a successful chart resurgence of their new song ‘Jjanhae’ alongside the group’s complete comeback. This broadcast marked a special occasion as Cao Lu performed with her group members on stage for the first time in six years, providing fans with a unique spectacle.
During the broadcast, Cao Lu asked comedian Celeb Five Kim YoungHee for tips on the secret to chart resurgence, saying, “The song is good, and we’re working hard. How can we achieve a resurgence?” Kim YoungHee humorously lifted the mood by responding, “If you go sideways, the ranking stays the same. You have to go backward,” eliciting laughter.
In response to Kim YoungHee’s request, FIESTAR showcased the choreography for ‘Jjanhae,’ with Kim YoungHee emphasizing the need for a special element by saying, “Even if you listen to it again in 2024, the song is so good.” She recalled Cao Lu’s past appearance on MBC’s ‘Real Men’ female soldier special by displaying a large screen photo of Cao Lu’s embarrassed expression.
Kim YoungHee said, “You need to be at least this level to achieve a chart resurgence,” showing a comical composite photo, and Cao Lu added to the laughter by performing a dance move as if applying cream to her face. Kim YoungHee shouted, “Music Bank director, call her once. She’s like this,” cheering for Cao Lu’s challenge.
Cao Lu played a significant role in FIESTAR’s reunion. Last August, she announced the comeback news through her YouTube channel, revealing, “I purchased the copyrights for ‘Jjanhae’ while doing live commerce in China.” This was a result of her efforts to achieve her dream.
FIESTAR, a multinational girl group that debuted in 2012, returned after six years with a remake version of ‘Jjanhae’ following their disbandment in 2018. Under Cao Lu’s leadership, their future activities are highly anticipated. Fans are sending enthusiastic support to help make her dream a reality. Cao Lu and FIESTAR’s resurgence is just beginning.
