News that BTS is discussing plans for their activities after completing their military service has heightened fans’ expectations. On November 7, Big Hit Music, BTS’s agency, announced, “We are in close consultation with the artists regarding their post-military service activities.”
This news follows remarks made by HYBE’s CFO Lee KyungJun during a HYBE earnings report conference call on November 5, where he mentioned BTS’s future activities. When asked about the possibility of a BTS world tour in 2026, the CFO responded, “Discussions with the members are ongoing, and no specific plans have been made yet.” He added that while a full group comeback could generate significant revenue, the growth of HYBE’s other artists and new business ventures means that BTS’s revenue share won’t be as high as it was in the past.
Following these comments, some speculated that BTS’s planned group activities in 2025 might not happen. However, this was based on a question about tour revenue in 2026, and there has been no change in BTS’s contract renewal or their anticipated activity resumption in 2025. With some members currently serving in the military, the agency clarified, “We will inform fans once specific plans are finalized.”
Currently, BTS members are serving their military duties, with the eldest member Jin having been discharged first on June 12 and continuing his solo activities. He is set to release his first solo album ‘Happy’ on November 15. j-hope is also preparing for solo activities after his discharge on October 17. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement regarding BTS’s future activities and schedule.
