Jin expressed, “Releasing a solo album under my name holds deep meaning for me.” His solo album includes a total of six tracks, including the title track ‘Running Wild’, ‘I’ll Be There’, and the fan song ‘In Longing’. The album narrates a journey in search of happiness based on band sounds, expressing various emotions such as love, excitement, and courage. Jin added, “I hope fans enjoy the music while imagining the exciting band sounds when heard live on stage.”
The title track ‘Running Wild’ is a pop-rock genre song that sings about the warmth, brightness, and passion that love brings. Notably, Gary Barlow of the renowned British band Take That participated as a producer, drawing attention. The music video, set against the backdrop of an earth on the brink of destruction, portrays Jin spending peaceful days with his pet dog, conveying that love with precious beings is the essence of happiness in any situation.
‘In Longing’, which Jin personally wrote the lyrics for, is a fan song that conveys sincere feelings towards fans. Based on notes recorded during his training days, it expresses his longing for fans. Jin revealed, “I wrote the lyrics with the desire to return as soon as possible, knowing fans are waiting.”
Jin was the first among the members to complete his military service in June this year and resumed his activities. He participated as a torchbearer for the Paris Olympics and continues to be active, including hosting his own variety show ‘Run Sukjin’ on YouTube. On the 16th and 17th, he will also hold a fan showcase at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul.
