BTS Jin, after 11 years since debut, released his first solo album ‘Happy’ and spent a special time with fans. Held from the 16th to the 17th at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul, this fan showcase was themed around sharing happiness with fans. Jin expressed his heartfelt wish to be happy with ARMY, and every stage was presented with a live band performance.
Jin showcased tracks from his new album, including the title track ‘Running Wild’, ‘I’ll Be There’, ‘Another Level’, ‘Until I Reach You’, ‘Heart on the Window’, and ‘In Longing’. Notably, the surprise duet stage with Red Velvet Wendy deeply moved the fans. Wendy shared her thoughts, saying, “I was happy to sing with Jin as the song is so good.”
Jin communicated with fans by explaining the album production process using a self-made PPT. Particularly, he compared ‘Running Wild’ to a variety of flavors like “popping candy, soda flavor, dark chocolate”, bringing joy to the audience. He humorously suggested, “ARMY with good stamina should listen while running, and those without should listen while driving.”
The highlight of the showcase was the fan song ‘In Longing’, which Jin personally wrote the lyrics for. The song, written during his military service while thinking of ARMY, emphasizes a deep connection with fans. He expressed his genuine feelings, stating, “I missed ARMY so much because I couldn’t perform.”
Jin concluded the showcase by saying, “I want to share even greater happiness with ARMY through this album.” The approximately 90-minute performance created unforgettable memories for both Jin and ARMY, and there are high expectations for Jin’s future solo activities. Fans are eagerly anticipating Jin’s next steps, hoping to share more happiness through his music.
