BTS member Jin is drawing global attention by releasing a highlight medley video of his first solo album, ‘Happy’. The video, released at midnight on the 9th (Korean time) on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, allows fans to preview parts of all the songs included in the album, generating a great response.
The title track of the album, ‘Running Wild’, is a pop-rock genre based on British rock, delivering a bright and warm message of running towards hope. This song was made complete with the participation of legendary British pop band Take That’s Gary Barlow as a producer.
The pre-released song ‘I’ll Be There’ with its rockabilly sound is followed by the majestic ‘Another Level’. The rhythmic band performance with an alternative rock vibe makes listeners’ hearts race.
Noteworthy is the track that changes the mood. ‘Until I Reach You’, featuring Taka and Toru from the famous Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK, is a modern rock song with a J-pop sentiment, where Toru’s guitar performance captivates the ears.
The fifth track, ‘Heart on the Window (with Red Velvet Wendy)’, is a pop song with a new wave style, generating much anticipation for the combination of a representative male and female vocalist of K-pop. The album concludes with ‘In Longing’, a ballad with lyrics written by Jin himself for his fans, conveying a heartfelt message with acoustic piano accompaniment.
Jin’s first solo album ‘Happy’ is set to be released at 2 PM on the 15th. Consisting of a total of six songs, this album showcases another charm of ‘vocalist Jin’ based on band sounds, delivering the message of finding happiness through music.
