BTS’s JiMin has gifted fans a special moment even while serving in the military. On November 22, JiMin won the ‘Fans’ Choice of the Year’ award at the ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS JAPAN’ held at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, showcasing his unwavering bond with fans.
Currently serving in the 5th Infantry Division, JiMin shared the news of his win through the fan communication platform Weverse. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m a soldier, yet I’m winning a grand prize. How could you give me such a gift?” He continued, “I’ve been having a lot of conversations with JungKook lately, and I’m already excited about what songs and performances to show you after my discharge,” expressing his anticipation for the future with fans.
JiMin also conveyed his determination to meet fans with a more matured self, stating, “If the day comes when I can repay you all, presenting the best stage will be the greatest gift.”
Before his award win, JiMin was also noted for his special donation. He donated 100 million won to the ‘Fund for Comradeship through Devotion to the Nation,’ exerting a positive influence. This donation is planned to be used for the living expenses, medical expenses, and scholarships of soldiers and their families who have dedicated themselves to the nation.
