BTS members, j-hope and Suga, announced that their solo documentaries “j-hope IN THE BOX” and “SUGA: Road to D-DAY” will be released in theaters worldwide starting from June 17. The documentaries coincide with BTS’ 10th anniversary, and viewers will be able to get a sneak peek into the lives and work of the global music icons in an immersive experience that can only be experienced in movie theaters, with the use of large screens and three-dimensional sound.
Tickets can be purchased starting from May 16 (4 PM PDT, 7 PM EDT) / May 17 (12 AM BST, 1 AM CEST, 8 AM KST) at the BTS Solo Documentaries website. Up-to-date information on ticketing and exhibiting cinema will be available on the film website.
“j-hope IN THE BOX” showcases j-hope’s creative process while preparing for his first-ever solo album, Jack In The Box. The documentary features an inside look at his album preparation, along with footage from his “2022 Lollapalooza” performance and the “Jack In The Box” listening party.
In “SUGA: Road to D-DAY,” SUGA embarks on a musical journey to find inspiration for his latest solo album, “D-DAY”. Viewers will witness the star at his most vulnerable, discussing his writer’s block with fellow musicians and exploring his traumatic memories to pen lyrics for some of his latest songs. The documentary also includes live clips of songs from the album “D-DAY”.
We are excited to continue our long-standing working relationship with the HYBE team for the theatrical release of j-hope and Suga’s solo documentaries, following our recent record-breaking successes with the BTS projects “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – SEOUL: LIVE VIEWING” and “BTS: Yet To Come In Cinemas.” It’s great to bring their stories to the big screen in celebration of BTSโ 10th anniversary, a must-see experience for moviegoers around the world.

Starting with a release in South Korea’s Lotte Cinema in June, the documentaries will subsequently be released in other countries and territories around the globe, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
