BIGBANG SeungRi Reported To Have Quit As Director Of Burning Sun After Being Informed Of Assault Incident

According to a news report from South Korean agency KBS, BIGBANG member SeungRi resigned from his position of publicity director of Club Burning Sun after being informed about the controversial assault incident that took place on November 24th, 2018.

A staff member of the club gave a statement saying

“SeungRi found out about the incident and resigned.”

Other staff members also stated that he returned to South Korea from the Philippines after a concert, and was asking about the incident upon his arrival.

Netizens are currently criticizing SeungRi for choosing to quit, rather than taking action after discovering the controversy surrounding the club.

Many fans have pointed out that it would have been better if he had contacted the authorities.

However, given that no information regarding the actual assault, alleged police corruption, use of date rape drugs, and sexual assault have been confirmed through an official investigation, it may have been the reason why the K-Pop idol has been remaining silent about the issue.
