The iconic K-pop group of the second generation, BIGBANG, has returned with new music after a hiatus of 2 years and 7 months. On the 22nd, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, announced the release of the new song ‘Home Sweet Home’ featuring BIGBANG members TaeYang and DaeSung at 2 PM. This marks the first song with all three members since the release of ‘Spring Summer Fall Winter’ in April 2022.
The three members delivered a special moment for their fans in September by performing BIGBANG’s hit song ‘WE LIKE 2 PARTY’ at TaeYang’s solo concert at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park. The new song ‘Home Sweet Home’ conveys the message of returning to their beloved fans, akin to coming back home. Its upbeat rhythm and lyrics evoke a sense of freedom and enjoyment on stage. Furthermore, G-Dragon’s free-flowing rap over a nostalgic hip-hop track adds a unique charm to the song.
Galaxy Corporation stated, “G-Dragon has returned after 7 years with ‘POWER,’ reaffirming his stature. He showcases his identity as both a solo artist and the leader of BIGBANG with ‘Home Sweet Home.'”
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is set to perform at the ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS’ hosted by Mnet at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on the 23rd. This will be his first appearance at the ‘MAMA AWARDS’ in nine years since 2015, raising fans’ expectations even further.
