1. Lee MinHo & Jun JiHyun - "Legend Of The Blue Sea"

The legendary underwater kiss scene between Lee MinHo's Heo JoonJae and Jun JiHyun's Sim Cheong in "Legend Of The Blue Sea" is unrivaled in its status as one of the best of all time - in or out of the water. After jumping off a cliff to evade some thugs, Heo JoonJae and Sim Cheong fall straight into the deep blue sea. Heo JoonJae is barely conscious when Sim Cheong, who has now transformed into a mermaid, gently grabs him by the waist, bringing him back to his senses.
He sees her for who she is, and puts two and two together, but his first instinct is to reach out to her with love, holding her arm with care as she leans in for a magical kiss. To Heo JoonJae, this isn't a life-saving kiss, but rather one that conveys his deepest feelings, and the way Lee MinHo portrays that is stellar, to say the least. From the emotions imbued in the scene, clearly reflected in the actors' faces, to the daze in which Heo JoonJae is left afterwards, this scene is utter perfection.
2. Ji ChangWook & Ha JiWon - "Empress Ki"

Ji ChangWook is popularly known as the "King Of Kisses" in K-Drama land. So, this list would not be complete without including the unforgettable "bathtub kiss" from "Empress Ki". In episode 21, Ta Hwan (Ji ChangWook) hides SeungNyang (Ha JiWon) in his bathtub to protect her from the vigilant eyes of Dang KiSe (Kim JungHyun). He covers the surface with the most delicate and beautiful rose petals, which act as a screen, but for viewers, this unwittingly adds just that extra touch of romance to an otherwise dangerous situation.
SeungNyang stays underwater to keep herself invisible, but when she can't hold her breath any longer, Ta Hwan picks up on it and plunges in to give her some air through mouth-to-mouth. As perilous as this is, it shows how Ta Hwan values her life over his own and would go to any lengths to keep her safe. The scene is awash in a rosy red glow, making it even more romantic as the petals float around them.
3. Lee JoonGi & Moon ChaeWon - "Flower Of Evil"

"Flower Of Evil" is a modern masterpiece of Korean television. Besides the riveting crime thriller aspect, the extraordinary relationship between husband and wife Baek HeeSung and Cha JiWon, played by Lee JoonGi and Moon ChaeWon, respectively, created the foundation of the drama. In episode 5, HeeSung finds himself bolted to the bottom of a swimming pool that is quickly filling up with water. Without a way out, he drowns and loses consciousness.
When JiWon finds him, he is as good as dead at the bottom of the pool. She jumps in without hesitation to save him, but untying his hands is harder than she thought, especially when he can't help himself. So, she does what seems most logically sound and uses mouth-to-mouth to resuscitate him first. While that is all well and good, there is also a sense of sheer pain in this scene, where CPR is probably not all that JiWon was thinking at that moment, and that is what makes this scene so poignant.
4. Kim Beom & Woo HyunJin - "Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938"
The latest addition to the list of memorable underwater kisses, Lee Rang and Jang YeoHee's fateful kiss in "Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938" is all the rave in the K-Drama community. Kim Beom plays half-gumiho half-human Lee Rang, and rookie actress Woo HyunJin plays half-mermaid half-human Jang YeoHee. YeoHee vows to love Lee Rang and gifts him with her scale so that he can use it to call her if need be.
The scale comes in clutch sooner than expected because when Lee Rang is thrown into a well with his hands tied alongside Koo ShinJu (Hwang Hee) in episode 3, it is the scale that summons YeoHee, who immediately comes to his rescue. Once again, we have a mermaid with a magic kiss, and this time, it saves her lover and binds them together. The ethereal cinematography amplifies the wonder of the scene even more, bringing us the start of a much-needed romance.
