Balming Tiger will be hosting an exclusive showcase at “SXSW”, one of the largest music and arts mega-festivals hosted in North America. The alternative K-Pop group will be the first Korean artist and label to stage an exclusive showcase at the said festival. Various artists including Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, HyunA, iKON, Lee Hi, Crush, DEAN, Jay Park, and Epik High have been invited to the stage of “SXSW” to represent Korea. On this year’s festival, Balming Tiger will not only be performing on stage as part of the lineup of artists but will be hold an exclusive showcase and will take part as host of the stage as well. This is said to be the first of its kind among Korean labels, collectives and crews and is considered a unique and exceptional case for independent artists.

Along with Balming Tiger members including Omega Sapien, Mudd the Student and BJ wjnj, close fellow artist like So!YoON!, Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA, Ted Park, Y2K92 and others will be joining them on stage. They Hate Change, a rap duo based in Tampa, Florida, will be appearing on the said stage as well.
Balming Tiger was actually scheduled to perform at “SXSW” last 2020, but “SXSW” had to cancel all their offline events due to COVID-19. This showcase will be Balming Tiger’s first offline performance in 2 years and 3 months, after the pandemic. Fans and spectators can expect a burst of energy from the group after the long wait.
The showcase will take place on the evening of March 19, Austin, Texas local time.
After the said showcase, Balming Tiger will head to Europe for their month-long tour. The tour is said to start in May 2022. The group’s frontman Omega Sapien will also be releasing a new EP produced by Bauuer, one of the biggest producers on Billboard. The EP will be available to the worldwide audience in early April.
