On July 4, it was announced through Pledis Entertainment that After School‘s GaEun will be leaving the company as their contact will be expiring on July 6.
Since 2012, GaEun had joined After School as a member and undergone various activities. However, as the expiration of contract drew closer Pledis Entertainment had discussed with GaEun about renewing the contract. Sadly, both parties did not come to an agreement and GaEun had decided to part her way from Pledis Entertainment.
Pledis Entertainment also shared that they will continue to support GaEun with all their might until she finds a new agency.

In addition to the expiration of her contract, GaEun will also be releasing a fan song on July 5. Through her appearance previously on Mnet “Produce 48”, GaEun had gained new and dedicated fans. The fan song is to give thanks to her fans who have been supporting her all these while.
Just a while ago, GaEun had also uploaded a handwritten letter to her fans on Instagram.
