The girl group aespa, under SM Entertainment, is achieving remarkable success on the UK charts, following their success in South Korea and China.
aespa’s first full-length album ‘Armageddon,’ released on May 27, entered the UK Official Chart’s Singles Downloads Chart at number 20 and the Singles Sales Chart at number 21, proving the group’s global popularity once again.
‘Armageddon’ by aespa also made a significant impact in China. It topped Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart weekly ranking on five different music platforms and secured the number one spot on QQ Music’s digital album sales chart, as well as the overall and Korean music video charts. Within just six days of its release, it achieved sales of 5 million yuan, earning a ‘Diamond Album Certification,’ setting the shortest record for a K-pop album released in 2024.
Additionally, aespa continues to gain popularity with their pre-released title track ‘Supernova,’ which was released on June 13. The song topped domestic major music charts, won five music show awards, and accumulated 48.1 million streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, aespa is set to hold their second solo concert ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR โ SYNK : PARALLEL LINE โ’ on June 29 and 30 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
